Today is National Custodian Day! Schools would literally fall apart if it weren’t for the custodial staff. They keep Chery Creek running every single day , giving our students clean and tidy spaces to learn and grow. 1st Grade finished up the human body unit with some fun activities! We learned about the different body systems, germs, and food pyramid. First grade had fun playing doctor!

On Friday, we had our Victory Assembly for the month of September. Our Lighthouse Team was ready to emcee our assembly where progress on our WIGS were announced and the Top Crocs and Leaders of the Month were celebrated. Thanks parents for coming to support our Leaders of the Months and Top Crocs.

A Kinder in Mrs. Holden’s class made the Impossible possible yesterday. 2 Kinders and two 2nd Graders have made the Impossible Shot since school started in August. What do they know or what super power do they possess to make the Impossible possible? Is it confidence? Is it skill? Whatever it is, they are succeeding!
A 3rd Grader in Mrs. Zambrano’s class saved up enough Croc Cash to buy Principal Darrington’s chair for a day! What a great reward to learn in luxury!

On Friday, the 2nd Grade classes went on a Field Trip to Gordo’s Farm in Spanish Fork. There was a petting zoo with many different animals, they got a lesson on the life of a pumpkin, got a tractor ride and got to play in the corn pit. Cherry Creek Crocs are lucky to have farms close by to explore and learn about.
First Grade Rocked Spirit Day on Friday. Two First Grade classes had all students in their classes wear Red or Cherry Creek attire. Both Mrs. Jensen’s class and Mrs. Anderson’s class reported 100% . Congratulations!
The 3rd Graders also got to hear from Councilman Logan Milsap who serves the city of Springville. He talked about what the Springville City Council does and how they help our city.
The 3rd Graders at Cherry Creek are learning about government in their CKLA unit. Representative Stephen Whyte, from the Utah House of Representatives, came to speak about his position serving in the legislature. He also talked about the right and responsibility to vote. They learned a lot about what government officials do and how the state government works. Thanks for coming Representative Whyte.
